 Contract Antisera Production in Goats Midland BioProducts Corporation Farm is a USDA, EU and OLAW licensed facility. MBC is able to produce contract antisera in goats. Custom Antisera Production: MBC is a USDA licensed facility (# 42-R-0027), farm facility # IA-TEC-0003 (per EU 1774/2002) and OLAW approved AWA # A4470-01. All contract antisera production functions are designed and monitored by our Staff Veterinarian. The immunogen requirements can be anywhere from 0.05 mg up to 0.5 mg per immunization. It is suggested that you send the immunogen in a lyophilized or liquid form in 0.1 to 0.5-ml volumes. This can be reviewed with our Staff Veterinarian, Denise Warriner, DVM. EXAMPLE: Cost for 2 goats on the MBC program to produce approximately 12,000 mL of antibody to your immunogen in a 12 month period: I. First 6 Months of the Program for 2 goats:

Total Costs for the first 12 months of the program for 2 goats and your immunogen: $8,640.00 * = As minimum laboratories work up on the production bleed, MBC will take the plasma, clot, and defibrinate as raw serum. This would also include (if specified) adding 0.1 % sodium azide as a preservative. ** = This cost does not include if additional QC tests are needed. i.e., dose response, additional processing of the raw serum, fractionation, affinity purification, special conjugation, Becker titer, total protein, RID or RRID, IEP, etc. These tests and / or procedures will require an additional cost based on frequency and time to do the tests and / or procedure. Also, this does not include termination of the goat (or goats). |
